Wheeling on the Wolds
This route allows you to visit the small towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford and Northleach and takes you to the edge of the Cotswolds for wonderful views from Broadway Tower. Farm parks and museums tell the recent history of the area and Britain's best Roman villa site is a reminder of earlier inhabitants. Attractions: Bibury, Bourton Model Village, Cotswold Heritage Collection, Cotswold Pottery, Mechanical Music Museum, Motor and Toy Museum, Old Mill Museum, Sherborne Estate and Snowshill Manor. This tour includes bed & breakfast accommodation, a tour pack (including colour coded route directions and a map), bicycle hire, luggage transfers and emergency telephone assistance.

This short break gives the rider a choice of 4 routes to be completed at your leisure.
Ride 1 - Go past the charming cottages, manor houses and water mill in the villages of Lower and Upper Slaughter on the way to Stow on the Wold, where handsome stone buildings stand around a market square. On the way back, ride through Idbury and Church Westcote which has some wonderful views across the Oxfordshire Wolds.
Ride 2 - Follow the meandering River Windrush east to the Wychwood. In the little town of Burford the magnificent high street rises from the river bank and bears witness to the fine building stone and skilled masons for which this area is famous. Return through delightful villages such as Little Barrington and Sherborne along the other bank of the Windrush.
Ride 3 - Ride into the heart of the Cotswolds with sweeping views across unspoilt country that is often missed by visitors. See the rare breeds at The Cotswold Farm Park and Broadway Tower, a classic English folly built high on the escarpment offering views over twelve counties. Snowshill is one of the most attractive villages in the area and its manor contains a remarkable collection of historic objects. Winding lanes take you through the scenic villages of the Guitings and Naunton on the way back.
Ride 4 - Contrast the handsome old market town of Northleach with the beautiful villages of Coln Dennis, Coln Rogers and Bibury. Why not visit Chedworth Roman Villa, the most complete villa in Britain with mosaic floors, bath houses and heating system all on display in their original settings? There is also a collection of artefacts in the museum and a visitor centre that sets everything in context.
