If it’s the seaside that you're after then you can use the bikes to visit a succession of long sandy beaches, sheltered coves and picturesque harbours. If you prefer sightseeing then every ride will take you to a wide variety of historic houses, glorious gardens, galleries and museums. If you're more interested in Cornwall’s rich history you can visit mysterious standing stones, ancient churches and sites of maritime and industrial heritage. Throughout the area are special wildlife habitats, particularly for seabirds and wild flowers, all influenced by the exceptionally mild climate. And if you just enjoy cycling you will find the tiny twisting lanes and constantly changing terrain full of interest with new and contrasting scenery unfolding on every ride. Attractions: Falmouth and Pendennis Castle, Land's End, Lizard lighthouse, National Seal Sanctuary, St Michael’s Mount, Poldark Mine, Trengwainton Gardens, Trevarno Estate, boat trips, surfing beaches and huge pasties! This tour includes bed & breakfast accommodation, a tour pack (including colour coded route directions and a map), bicycle hire, luggage transfers and emergency telephone assistance.

 

8 days, 7 nights Mixed Accommodation

Day 1 - Settle into your Truro hotel and if you feel like stretching your legs, you can go explore the city.
Day 2 - The Roseland Peninsula. Ride out through the site of an ancient open air theatre, along Carnon River to the small Cornish port of Point Quay. Cross the headland and then the River Fal on the King Harry Ferry to the Roseland Peninsula, a quiet corner of Cornwall with beautiful wooded valleys, peaceful villages and some really great views.
Day 3 - Truro to Helston. Pass the old tin mine at Wheal Jane to Penryn, once the main port in this area, with its Tudor-Georgian architecture. Continue down the coast to Falmouth, where you can visit several exotic gardens, a maritime museum and some pleasant beaches. Then move to Gweek, home of the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford Creek.
Day 4 - Lizard Peninsula. Explore the west coast through the delightful Church Cove to Mullion from where you continue all the way down to Lizard, the most southerly point of the British mainland. This also takes you to Kynance Cove with its stunning beaches, cliffs, caves and islands. Next stop Goonhilly Downs with its unique habitats that support rare wildlife including the hen harrier and short-eared owl and is also the home of a satellite tracking station which the visitor centre provides guided tours of.
Day 5 - Helston to Penzance. Lock up your bike and try one of the splendid walks in an area of woodland around the Loe Pool, now owned by the National Trust. Continue to Porthleven, then follow the coast west to Praa Sands, renowned as one of Cornwall’s finest family beaches and also very popular with surfers. Further on is one of Cornwall's most famous landmarks, St. Michael’s Mount, a little island community that can be reached by causeway at low tide.
Day 6 - Land's End. Begin in Newlyn then continue through narrow streets past little Mousehole harbour and over to the pretty, sheltered Lamorna Cove, a lovely spot for a swim. Pass the Merry Maidens, a Bronze Age stone circle, to Land's End where you can enjoy a variety of entertainments and attractions
Day 7 - Penzance to Truro. Ride to the north coast and follow the coast road past miles of sand dunes then above rugged cliffs with spectacular views of the Atlantic. Explore a woodland cycle trail at the tranquil Tehidy Country Park, on the way to the popular surfing cove at Portreath. The ride ends along beautiful wooded valleys back into Truro.
Day 8 - Depart.

11 days, 10 nights Eden Project Extension

This tour will add an extra three nights to your holiday and will allow you to enjoy the delights of the Eden Project. You'll ride out to St Austel along the coast and enjoy a stay in Churchtown, a pretty district of St Austel.
Day 8 - Follow the coast from Truro to St Austell visiting small sandy beaches, seaside towns and fishing ports.
Day 9 - Ride to see the Eden Project, where you will spend the day before riding back to Churchtown.
Day 10 - Leave Churchtown and head for Pentewan where you pick up a traffic free cycle way through woods to the Lost Gardens of Heligan before returning to Truro.
Day 11 - Depart.

11 days, 10 nights Scilly Isle Extension

This tour will add an extra three nights to your holiday and will allow you to enjoy the delights of the Scilly Isles.
From your hotel in Penzance ride to the ferry, (your luggage is taken to the Wharf.) On arriving at St Marys your luggage is taken to your hotel (there is a small cost payable locally.)
Spend the next 2 days exploing the islands before returning to Penzance.
